Recipe Difficulty – Very Easy

Why this recipe works

Buttered sweet corn is one of those air fryer recipes you’ll make time and time again. Don’t get me wrong, I love corn made on the grill but cooked in the air fryer basket reduces the cook time, makes it crispy and there’s no need to boil the ears of corn first.

One of the awesome things about corn is that there are so many great ways to enjoy it plus it’s a low calorie side dish! While butter is good, my combination of butter, garlic, and parsley make this side dish out of this world! And when you make corn on the cob in the air fryer there’s no need to turn on the oven or boil a pot of water meaning less prep time and total time.

It pairs well with my Easy Grilled Salmon Burgers and Potato Salad with Yoghurt recipe.

Ingredients to make Air Fryer Corn on the Cob

Ingredients to make Air Fryer Corn on the Cob.
  1. Fresh Corn on the Cob – is the star of this recipe. Try to buy it without husks if possible as this saves time.
  2. Melted Butter or Olive Oil – adds an amazing flavour while holding the garlic and parsley on.
  3. Garlic Clove – Using garlic-infused butter adds a deeper flavour profile to this air fry corn on the cob.
  4. Fresh Parsley – adds a bright taste and fresh flavour to the corn.
  5. Salt and Pepper – are the quintessential seasonings that finish off this air fry corn.

See recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.

Substitutions

  • Garlic Clove – you could use dried minced garlic or garlic powder, though it won’t have the same flavour. You could also use different flavours such as Italian seasoning or Parmesan cheese.
  • Parsley – You could replace parsley with basil or cilantro.

Variations

  • Spicy – This is easy to heat up with chilli peppers or chili powder.
  • Deluxe – There are so many flavours you can add to corn in the air fryer. If you want a Mexican Street Corn, for instance, smother your air fried corn in Mexican Crema or sour cream and then top with cotija cheese, chilli powder or paprika, lime juice, and cilantro. You could also add extra fresh herbs to enhance the flavors.
  • Kid friendly – Kids may want to keep the flavour profile simple and just roll their corn on the cob in butter. Young kids may need the kernels cut off of the cob for them. Serve with mayo for extra points!
