My debut cook book “Healthy Living James” is OUT NOW!! Packed with over 80 delicious, easy recipes that you’re going to make over and over again.
This is honestly a dream come true for me. Since starting my blog in August 2016, it’s been a massive goal of mine to release a cook book. And that dream is finally becoming a reality. I cannot wait for us all to get our hands on it. I think this video I shared on Instagram and Facebook of me crying, really shows how important this moment is for me.
What’s more the book is available to buy right now on Amazon & Waterstones in the UK (check FAQ’s below for answers on other countries).
I recently shared a YouTube Video of me receiving the first ever copy of my book. I show you an exclusive look inside and also cook a recipe from it just to show how easy and accessible these recipes are!
What you need to know about this cook book:
Jam-packed with over 80 easy, healthy recipes, this cookbook is for anyone who is suffering ill health, has food allergies, is totally new to cooking, or simply lacks time.
It’s the book I needed when I was struggling with my health. I had no idea how to cook and no energy to concentrate on complicated instructions. I was looking for quick, easy and healthy recipes with short ingredients lists and a basic step-by-step guide. I couldn’t find anything suitable, so I decided to teach myself. The aim with all the recipes is to teach others how easy it can be to cook using simple, supermarket ingredients when you have limited time, energy or skill. Plus they can all be made using basic kitchen equipment. This is exactly how I taught myself to cook eight years ago. To read more on my story head here!
Each recipe will be: gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, mainly plant-based (but it’s easy to add meat or fish), simple to follow, affordable and easy to adapt with ingredient swaps. With ideas for breakfast and brunch, on-the-go lunches, batch cooking, store cupboard meals and week-night dinners, the recipes will include:
- 15-Minute No Bake Granola
- Speedy Spinach and Cashew ‘Ricotta’ Pasta
- Mushroom Stroganoff
- Chickpea and Avocado Smash Burgers
- Tex Mex Quinoa Salad
- 20-Minute Fish Curry
- Chocolate Pots
I wanted to create a recipe book that would cater for all, no matter your allergies or food choices. There’s no judgement or preaching, just accessible recipes for all to enjoy.
It’s definitely not one of those cook books you’ll buy, flick through, put on the shelf to look pretty and not use. This recipe book is going to get a beating, exactly how it should. I know these are recipes you’ll try and continue to make time and time again.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Where can I order the book and how much will it cost?
Currently it’s available to buy on Amazon, Waterstones and WH Smiths and it’s RRP price is £25.
What countries is it available in?
Right now, it’s just available in the U.K and Australia to buy “officially”.
You can now buy a copy from Booktopia in Australia.
And Barnes & Noble for the U.S.
Can I get a copy outside of the U.K?
If you wish to get a copy outside of the U.K/U.S and Australia then your best bet is googling for local shops to see if they stock it.
Can I get a signed copy?
Yes! I will be at cooking demos across the country so by all means bring your copy with you and I will personally sign it there and then!
Can I get a look inside?
Absolutely! I recently shared a YouTube Video of me receiving the first ever copy of my book. I show you a sneak peak of inside and also cook a recipe from it.
Are these all brand new recipes?
Almost all are brand new recipes created specially for this book. But I have also included a few of my fan favourite recipes because I know some of you will like having those on your shelf in the kitchen too.
Is this recipe book gluten-free?
Yes! I am gluten-free and have been for over 9 years now so everything I create and eat is gluten-free. But I also know that not everyone else is so I have created this book to cater for all. Each recipe is made using gluten-free products, but these can easily be swapped for non gluten-free if need be.
Is this recipe book dairy-free?
Yes! As well as above with gluten-free, I have been dairy-free for over 9 years. So every recipe in the book has been tested with dairy-free alternatives to milk or cheese, but again you can swap for dairy containing milk and cheese if you prefer.
Is this recipe book Vegan friendly?
I am not vegan but create mostly plant-based recipes as that’s what I enjoy and how I feel my best. I personally eat fish occasionally but choose not to eat meat. I am also egg-free due to allergies, so eggs are not used in my recipes either.
There are 4 fish recipes out of 80, so the book itself is definitely appropriate for vegans and those who prefer a plant-based diet.
THANK YOU!
Finally I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported me on my journey. Without you, none of this would have been possible so I truly cannot thank you enough.
