Substitutions

  • Baby Potatoes – can be replaced with red potatoes, fingerling potatoes, or other little potatoes. If you use bigger potatoes like russet potatoes, gold potatoes, sweet potatoes or yellow potatoes, cut them into smaller pieces.
  • Olive Oil – Any oil with a high smoke point will work fine to air fry small potatoes. Avocado oil is a great choice.
  • Seasonings – This is where you can really have fun with this recipe! I love the combination listed, but there are so many other great seasonings you could put on this baby potato recipe! Some things to try are parmesan cheese, fresh rosemary, Italian seasoning, taco seasoning, cajun seasoning fresh garlic, or another favourite seasoning blend.

Variations

  • Spicy – For a spicier potato, add some chilli powder or cumin to the mix of seasonings.
  • Deluxe – Top with fresh herbs (like fresh parsley) and serve these crispy potatoes up with some vegan sour cream or your favourite dipping sauce such as my Vegan Mayo or Garlic Hummus.
  • Kid friendly – Kids love to dip things, so serve these air fryer mini potatoes with some catsup, BBQ sauce, or ranch to ensure they’ll enjoy them. If you have really picky eaters, you could cut them into long, thin shapes and serve them up as french fries.
