The great thing about this homemade tomato pizza base sauce is you can whip it up in one-pot in under 10 minutes.
So, it’s as simple as adding the 5 ingredients to a pot and simmering until it thickens.
The smell the kitchen is filled with is incredible!
And you could even use this sauce for mixing into pasta too.
It has the perfect garlic and herb balance.

Simple Homemade Pizza Sauce
- 2 400g tinned chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 small garlic cloves crushed
- To a large pot add all the ingredients above
- Simmer on a low/medium heat until it starts to thicken (roughly 10 minutes)
