I created this almond butter hot choc recipe to celebrate hitting 5000 Instagram followers in roughly 5 weeks of opening the website. It’s so delicious and perfect for an autumn pick me up.
2 small mugs
Prep: 2 mins
Heating: 3 mins
- 500ml unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tablespoons cacao powder
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 heaped tea spoon of smooth almond butter
- pinch of salt
Add all the ingredients above into a blender and whizz for 30 seconds.
Heat a small pan and add the mix from the blender and reduce to a medium heat.
Gently stir to help make it frothy. It will take a couple mins to heat through.
I like to sprinkle cacao powder on top to add to the flavour.
Tip: If you don’t own a blender then just follow the other steps, mixing it all in the pan and whisk to get it frothy.
